Father Jerold Lindner, the priest at the center of a felony assault trial, will be cross-examined today by the attorney of a man who is on trial for beating the Jesuit, who he said sexually abused him more than 35 years ago. On Wednesday, Father Jerold Lindner, 67, told the court he remembered defendant William Lynch 44, but only as the man who attacked him at a Los Gatos, Calif., Jesuit retirement community where the priest has resided since 2001.
