A Texas woman is in the intensive care unit at an Austin hospital after doctors were forced to amputate her legs and fingers after a dog bite infected her with rare bacteria.
Robin Sullins, a dog lover and mother of four, was bitten by a family member's dog on Christmas day, suffering minor cuts on her hand and leg. She was treated at a local emergency room after becoming violently ill, then transferred to University Medical Center Brackenridge on December 28 as her condition rapidly deteriorated.
