State Attorney General Kicks Off Campaign in Gary

Fagen 1
A stern warning is being sent to anyone who buys medicines containing pseudoephedrine to manufacture methamphetamine or sell it to meth cooks.  Indiana Attorney General Greg Zoeller says it is now a felony to be involved in such activity.
Attorney General Zoeller made that statement at the kick off a statewide public awareness campaign during a press conference held at Fagen's Pharmacy in downtown Gary.
The state's top attorney was joined by Gary Mayor Karen Freeman-Wilson, Lake County Prosecutor Bernie Carter and representatives from the Indiana Retail Council and the Consumer Healthcare Products Association.

Zoeller also spoke about a new website that targets prescription drug abuse; http://www.bitterpill.in.gov. The website also illustrates what's being done to fight the epidemic.

A 43 year old Valparaiso man was taken to St. Anthony Hospital in Crown Point with non-life threatening injuries to his head and hands after his semi, which was pulling a dump trailer full of dirt, rolled over on southbound I-65 this morning just north of the Lowell exit. Indiana State Police Lowell Post reports at 10:43am, Joel Mick was changing lanes when the dump trailer struck an uneven portion of the road, due to lane repaving going on in this area, and ultimately the semi rolled over on the driver's side and slid for 75 feet blocking the de-acceleration lanes to the Lowell exit and partially blocking the right lane. The load of dirt being carried to the Newton County landfill in Brook was lost off the inner shoulder and partially in the left lane.
One lane of traffic is able to get by snaking through between the load of dirt partially lost in the left lane and the dump partially blocking the right lane and both de-acceleration lanes are closed....
