DNR Says Thank You to Vets Sunday

This Sunday is Veteran's Day and to show their appreciation the Indiana Department of Natural Resources is offering something special to veterans and active-duty military personnel. DNR Communications Director Phil Bloom says on Sunday, D-N-R parks, reservoir properties, and state forests will all be open for them free of charge. Bloom says veterans and military personnel should present I.D. or evidence of military service at the entrance gate.

Valpo Man Sentenced in DUI Fatal

A 66 year old Valparaiso man was sentenced to 14 years in prison Friday for killing a road service worker in 2010. The Times reports Jeffery Cleary was convicted on two felony and three misdemeanor drunk driving charges in the death of 63 year old Philip Amsden. Published reports say the verdict came on the 9th day of Cleary's retrial, and that he faced a maximum of 20 years in prison. Lane Blocked on I65 Ramp to Borman

Hobart Expands Noise Law
