The Chicago city council has approved new restrictions on electronic cigarettes or e-cigarettes. The move bans the devices from being used in the same places regular cigarettes are banned. Mayor Rahm Emanuel pushed for the restrictions saying e-cigarettes target young people saying it was done to protect children and to make sure adults who choose to use this product have the chance to do it, but not in a way that informs or normalizes a behavior that gets you addicted in the first place.
Chicago now joins New York in banning smoking electronic cigarettes in places where regular cigarettes are banned.
