This morning's snow and icy and windy conditions caused numerous slide-offs on northwest Indiana roads, including on State Road 49, where a 67 year old man was seriously injured after he was ejected from his vehicle due to a crash. The Porter County Sheriff's Office reports the man was heading south on State Road 49, near County Road 600 North, when he lost control of his vehicle, which went into the median and rolled, causing the man to be ejected across the northbound lanes. The man, who was not struck by any vehicles after being ejected, was taken to the hospital for treatment.
