Authorities continue to search for a motive in Wednesday night's deadly shooting at an Elkhart grocery store. Indiana State Police have identified the gunman who shot and killed two women's at Martin's Super Market, before being shot and killed by police, as 22-year-old Shawn Walter Bair of Elkhart. Police say the store manager was on his knees in front of the gunman, apparently praying, when Elkhart Police entered the store, and the manager was able to move out of harm's way and run down an aisle. Indiana State Police say Elkhart Police found Bair near the middle of the store and fatally shot the suspect before anyone else was harmed. The women who were killed were identified as 20-year-old Krystle Dikes of Elkhart, an employee of Martin's, and 44-year-old Rachelle Godfread, also of Elkhart. It's believed Godfread was shopping in the store at the time of the shooting. The bodies of the two female victims were found twelve aisles apart. Police say Bair was armed with a .40 caliber handgun and a large hunting knife. It's also been revealed that Bair had pictures of serial killers on his Facebook page.
