The Cook County Sheriff's Office reports, at this time, there is no change to their jail visitation schedule, but announced they have activated their 24-hour weather hotline. Sheriff Thomas Dart says family and friends of detainees may call the hotline with any questions regarding posting bond and to make arrangements to pick up detainees who are discharged during the adverse weather conditions forecasted for this week. Detainees who are homeless, or do not have transportation, will be allowed to postpone their discharge until the weather improves and the Sheriff's Office determines conditions are safe enough to resume the usual discharge process.
