Indiana State Police are again urging Region motorists to slow down, be careful if you have drive anywhere, and rethink your trip in snow events. Over the weekend, troopers from the Lowell Post – which covers Lake, Porter, LaPorte, Newton, Jasper and Pulaski counties – were again kept busy covering numerous crashes, slide-offs and jack-knifed vehicles as snow fell most of the day Saturday, accumulating as much as six to ten inches in some areas. Police say they continue to see drivers not reducing their speed, following too closely, and not adjusting their driving on ramps and bridges.
