Steelworker Dies from Injuries in February Accident

A steelworker severely injured after falling into scalding water at ArcelorMittal's East Chicago Mill last month has died as the result of complications sustained from his injuries. The Times reports 62 year old Robert “Lane” Watts, of Westville, passed away on Friday morning, at the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he was being treated for thermal injuries since the incident occurred on February 8th and his death has been ruled an accident.
According to the article, a spokesperson for ArcelorMittal says Watts will be deeply missed and the company expresses their deepest sympathy to his family and friends.
