LaPorte County Sheriffs Police are asking for the public's help in identifying an armed robbery suspect in a hold-up that occurred at the Speedway Gas Station at Highways 35 and 20 near Michigan City around 8pm Monday. Police say the suspect, described as a white male, wearing a dark blue hooded coat, blue jeans and gloves with an unknown yellow emblem, never talked during the robbery and communicated demands by waving and pointing a handgun. Police say the suspect fled south on foot with cash. Officers from LaPorte County and Michigan City and a sheriffs office K9 searched the area. Anyone with information is asked to call lead investigator Andrew Hynek with LaPorte County Sheriffs Police.
