Family and friends of a missing 62 year old Gary man are asking for your help in locating him. Gary Police report Lonnie Watkins has been missing since he left his mother's home, in the area of 4th Avenue and Durbin Street, the afternoon of January 9th, when Watkins road his bicycle about six-blocks away to an empty rental property his sister owns on the 700 block of Burr Street. Police say Watkins, who is a diabetic, and had just been released from the hospital two days earlier, did not return, and family have checked places he had been known to frequent, but to no avail. Police report Lonnie Watkins is described as five-feet nine-inches tall, weighing approximately 130-pounds, and was last seen wearing a red and white jacket, blue jeans, and a navy blue skull cap. Anyone with information is asked to contact Gary Police.
