A Gary man is facing numerous charges after leading police on a pursuit today in which alcohol was a factor. Indiana State Police report 43 year old David Serrano was stopped on eastbound I-80, one-and-a-half miles west of Central Avenue, for going 80 in a 55 mile per hour zone, and after pulling the vehicle over, the trooper noticed his vehicle had truck plates on it, and Serrano only had an Indiana I-D card, and later was found to have warrants for his arrest. State Police report Serrano fled in his vehicle into Gary, and tried to evade authorities by driving into a wooded area near 8^th and Martin Luther King Drive. Officers were able to locate Serrano, and took him into custody.
