A Michigan City man was sentenced Thursday to 20 years in prison for his guilty plea to felony robbery. The LaPorte County Prosecuting Attorney's Office reports Randy Winters admitted that on or about June 24^th, of 2011, he knowingly or intentionally took car keys and cigarettes from a man while armed with a gun. Authorities say aggravating factors, like the victim suffering a broken nose in the incident, and Winters extensive criminal history, helped to contribute to the maximum sentence.
