32 year old Lake Village man was sentenced to seven-years in prison and 15 years of supervised release after pleading guilty to felony distribution of child pornography in Hammond Federal Court this week. The U.S. Attorney's Office reports Thomas Spangle's computer equipment was seized after an undercover FBI agent working in Florida in May of 2010, using a peer-to-peer file sharing program, identified the IP address being utilized to distribute child pornography as that of Spangle, and found the equivalent of just over 43-thousand images. The case was the result of an investigation by the Indiana Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, including the FBI, and Indiana State Police.
