Health insurance rates were announced today for Indiana and 35 other states as federal health insurance exchanges are set to open next week for a six-month enrollment period. U-S Health and Human Services reports a 27 year old would pay anywhere from 168 dollars for a bare-bones, “catastrophic” coverage to around 332 dollars for the cheapest “gold” plans, with federal tax credits to reduce the cost for lower income Hoosiers. Health insurance for a family of four are expected to be around one-thousand dollars.
