As temps rise in the Region, so does the possibility of potholes. Weather experts say Region residents can expect a high threat of potholes forming as the temperatures of road pavement also go above freezing, causing it to contract. When water freezes, it expands and forces the pavement upwards. Additionally, rain and melting snow today could fill potholes with water, masking them to look like puddles.
