At about 6: 15this morning, Northern Indiana Public Service Company was reporting more than 28-hundred outages... mostly in Gary, Lake Station and Merrillville. The number of customers losing electricity jumped to more than eight-hundred in Valparaiso and about two-hundred in Portage within the 5-o'clock hour. There were just over 300 outages in Knox.
