LaPorte County Sheriff Michael Mollenhauer says a "mini-riot" that broke out in a cellblock Friday night can be attributed to a lack of funding that has resulted in overcrowding at the county jail. The sheriff says an entire floor of the jail had to close after the county council voted against funding overtime pay.
