Two teens reportedly thwarted an attempted home invasion in Highland Wednesday morning, as today's Times reports. The incident prompted a lockdown at the middle and high school about a half-mile away. The report says police believe the intruder ran off apparently after hearing someone was still inside the house. A K-9 unit was called in to assist in an area search, but the offender was not found.
