A 34 year old woman pleaded guilty on Friday in Lake Criminal Court to felony neglect of a dependent, regarding the death of her boyfriend's son. The Times reports Rochell Johnson, as part of her plea agreement, admitted to doing nothing to prevent 30 year old Leon Burns from continuously beating his 5 year old son the day he died. Published reports say the child had been living with Burns and Johnson in Gary, while the mother was in a drug treatment facility.
