Indiana's Secretary of State is warning Hoosiers to beware opportunistic investment schemes related to Hurricane Sandy. Connie Lawson says potential investors should be very cautious of cold-calling salespeople, advertisements, and internet postings promoting investment pools or bonds to help storm victims. Lawson says with any charitable contribution, you should only send money to charities with an established track record, like the Red Cross.
