Three accidents stopped or slowed traffic on the Indiana Toll Road Tuesday afternoon. The first happened near the LaPorte/ St. Joseph County line around 10:30 am, when a delivery truck went off the roadway near an overpass. A semi reportedly jackknifed about five miles to the east about two-and-a-half hour later. Then within about a half-hour, in LaPorte County, near milepost 53, about four miles east of the LaPorte exit, Toll Road officials report an accident involving three tractor trailers just before 1:30pm central time, with one carrying a load of flour that split open and spilled onto the roadway. One report out of South Bend said only the driver in the first crash was hurt, with minor injuries.
